One such mobile business is DE Photo, a Sussex-based photography company, whose team have been using our commercial awnings for over two decades. We sat down with them to talk about what they think – here’s a bit about what they had to say!

Can you give us a quick intro to DE Photo?

Sure! We are a photography company that’s been in business since 2002. Since our inception, we’ve been capturing treasured memories at more than 45,000 events, including schools, sports, and corporate events across the UK and Ireland. Dance festivals and sporting championships are amongst some of our most recent highlights!

How has your awning helped you?

It’s proven a very worthwhile investment for us. The first reason, obviously, is that it opens up a lot of new opportunities for us in terms of outdoor events. The weather can be a bit unpredictable a lot of the time, even in summer, and we rely on our awning to protect us from those sorts of challenging conditions. It’s really helpful for ensuring that we can continue working, by making it easier for us to display images for example, and giving parents a comfortable place to review their child’s photos.

In actual fact, it’s especially helpful during really heavy weather like heavy wind and rain, and there have been several times where our awning has allowed us to continue working while others have had to pack up.

It’s also been very helpful with branding. We’ve had our awning sign-written, which makes us very distinctive when we’re set up at outdoor events. It’s great, it gives the whole thing that extra spark of personality. That can make all the difference in attracting attention from passers-by.

Why did you choose The Awning Company?

That commitment to quality is really clear to see in our own experience – and over more than 20 years of using these awnings, we’ve had very few issues.
