2025 Event Spotlight: the British Touring Car Championship

And now, as we reflect on the recent British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) event, which took place on April 26-27, 2025, we’re proud to have been involved in providing the infrastructure that keeps teams race-ready, presentable, and protected.

For motorsport enthusiasts across the UK, the BTCC remains one of the most beloved and accessible racing series on the calendar. From families enjoying a day out to serious petrolheads following the standings, the BTCC offers something for everyone. We had several customers taking part in the season – including race teams – and we’re proud to have been right there with them throughout the weekend, delivering shelter and branding solutions.

What the BTCC brings to the motorsport calendar

Established in 1958, the BTCC has built a legacy of high-octane competition and fiercely loyal fan engagement. With multiple manufacturers, independent teams, and professional drivers battling it out in saloon-style cars, the series delivers edge-of-the-seat racing from spring through autumn. Without question one of the most exciting things is that BTCC races are known for being incredibly close, with frequent contact, daring overtakes, and dramatic twists in every round.

Each race weekend typically features three races on the Sunday, preceded by qualifying and practice sessions on Saturday. The accessibility of the paddock and driver areas gives fans an unusually intimate experience – and indeed, it’s one of the main areas where you’ll often find our own commercial awnings. How our commercial awnings are used in race day experiences

Our awnings are a familiar sight in the BTCC paddock. With several of our customers on the grid – including race teams themselves – we’re on hand across the season to deliver the shelter and branding solutions they rely on.

Where to catch the action across the UK

This year’s BTCC calendar has taken fans to some of the best-loved circuits in British motorsport. Brands Hatch remains a fan favourite, with both the Indy and GP layouts in use across the season. Donington Park brings elevation changes and tight corners, while Silverstone offers iconic straights and national-level exposure.

The championship also stops at Knockhill, Thruxton, Oulton Park, Snetterton and Croft, giving spectators up and down the country the chance to get trackside. Each venue combines grassroots access with top-level racing – and for businesses involved in the event, that means high visibility and a loyal audience ready to engage.
