At The Awning Company, not only do we manufacture high-quality race truck awnings, but we exclusively supply Recticel safeguard barriers – the best safety barriers in the UK. Since launching more than 30 years ago, we have manufactured a range of outdoor products for a variety of motorsport activities, from amateur karting to the highest professional level.

Born from a passion for this industry, the first range of safeguard protection barrier systems was introduced by Recticel in 1994. Recticel Safeguard Barriers was the first race safety manufacturer to offer a foam-engineered system that the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) approved.

All safeguard barriers are designed to meet the complexities of race track safety. The Recticel Safeguard Barrier Range is recognised by the relevant governing bodies, which include the Federation of International Motorsport (FIM), the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), Motor Sports Association (MSA), and National Karting Association (NKA).

The Recticel safeguard barriers foam is supplied exclusively to The Awning Company, and we manufacture the Approved Covers and distribute the complete products which are homologated for use in formula racing, hill climbing, car racing, motorcycle racing, and various other types of motorsports.
