    We collect information about you when you make a purchase with us. We also collect information when you voluntarily opt-in for marketing preferences, complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Finally, we collect information when you voluntarily enquire with us on our website, social media platforms or at events (e.g. Trade Shows).     We may collect personal identification information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when users visit our site, register on the site, place an enquiry, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site.

    We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years. Under legitimate interests, we have the right to keep your details on record for our service and guarantee policies. Your personal information we use for marketing purposes will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information (this must be done in writing).

    We use cookies to collect and keep track of non-personal identification information about users whenever they interact with our site, so that we might further improve and tailor our store to the users shopping preferences.     We would like to send you information about products and services of The Awning Company which may be of interest to you.     Sharing data with third parties

    We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our email newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.


    Online advertising

    We currently use a third party for retargeting and online marketing campaigns. More details can be requested at the below address.


    Google Analytics

    When someone visits we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.


    Other websites

    Our website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.


    We do not sell, trade, or rent users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.


    Access to your information and correction

    You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
